Fly Tying - Step by Step
The first step is to apply the base winding. The excess thread is cut off.
To make the nymph heavy enough, we wind a lead wire with a thickness of 0.15mm. A simple winding is quite enough.

The next step is to incorporate black biots, the biots must stick out from each other at the ends. This imitates the tail of the nymph. You don’t necessarily have to use black biots, there you can let your imagination run wild and try something new.
For the body of the nymph, take 2-3 fibers from a peacock feather. Cut off the end of the fiber so that you do not bind the rest of the shaft into the nymph.
Here you tie the ribbing for the body. At the head end you tie off the peacock fiber with the binding silk. Tip: Twist the fibers a little, then you get your fly more voluminous, because you get so several windings on the same length.
The penultimate step is to tie in the peacock feathers and cut them with scissors or a razor blade. After that comes the final knot on the fly with the Whip-Finsher Tool.
After the final knot, cut off the binding side. To fix the knot, you can still apply binding varnish or UV glue.
